Yasi Shaker(they/them) is a QTBIPOC symbiont, artist, farmer, and sociologist from Tehran, Iran currently living in diaspora on unceded Shoshone, Paiute, Goshute, and Ute tribes’ homeland in so-called Salt Lake City. They are the creator of the Garden Comrades: A Queer Community Garden Oracle Deck. They see the world as a series of interconnected webs, and the current catastrophe as wrought by failing systems rooted in broken connections with ourselves, each other, ancestors, land, and other living and non-living beings. Yasi is a pleasure activist,emergent strategist, and diasporic immigrant who loves and cares as a liberatory act through relationship anarchy. Their passion lies in the restoration and reconnection of sacred bonds and in healing injustices in our social and ecological communities.
